March 22-24 - Deployable Hospital Exercise and open house
spacer
Charlie Keeton has been asked to take the deployable tent to Crisis City (just south of Salina) for an exercise and open house they are having on March 22-24. We have some freedom with setting it up and taking it down. We could take it up on Thursday or Friday and set it up and then return on Saturday or Sunday to take it down. They are conducting a Statewide exercise on the 22-23, followed by an open house/preparedness fair on Saturday, the 24th. They did the same thing last year and drew approximately 600 individuals and they are estimating close to 1000 to attend this year. Again this is a great opportunity if you're interested in the deployable hospital team to come out and see everything that is involved. Please let DeAnn know of your capability for either the March or April deployment.

April 19-20 - Deployable Hospital Spring Exercise in Great Bend
spacer
Deployable Hospital Spring Exercise (April 19-20) - Charlie Keeton will be conducting his third deployable hospital exercise with the team on April 19th and 20th in Great Bend. The plans are to drive to Great Bend on Thursday morning, set up the hospital tent Thursday afternoon, spend the night and then on Friday the hospital in Great Bend will actually conduct an exercise with the tent. CERT members will assist in the exercise with patient tracking or as victims if they do not wish to assist with the patient tracking system. The exercise is scheduled until approximately Noon, at which time we will have lunch and then begin taking down and packing the tent back up. Charlie has funding that will pay for the hotel and meals and we will carpool again. This would be a good time for individuals that want to join this team to come out for the training. We will have more details to follow. Please let DeAnn know if you're able to go to Great Bend.
