Are you ready to be a part of Geocaching history?!?
The Basic Idea:
A "Flash Mob" Gathering of Geocachers. Only 15 minutes long! You MUST be present and sign a log
sheet DURING this time to claim the event.
You're heard of MEGA-EVENTS? This is quite the opposite in a variety of ways. A flash mob
is a large group of people who assemble suddenly in a public place, do something unusual for a brief
period of time, then quickly disperse. FLASH MOBS have gathered for other reasons. Come be part of this historic event!
WWFM (World Wide Flash Mob Event):
* Hundreds of events all around the world
* Thousands of geocachers expected
* Coordinated to happen at the same time
* To bring together geocachers for a fun and unique even
* To introduce others (muggles) to the fun of geocaching
The idea came from
PodCacher,
run by Sonny and Sandy (iTrax and FoxTail). They do a GREAT
pod cast on Geocaching, check it out!
These events will last EXACTLY 15 minutes, not one second longer.
Tell your friends and help promote the event! They do not have to be geocachers to join the WWFM.
Just bring them along, have them sign a log and enjoy the fun.
There may be muggles nearby who will wonder "What did I just see? What just happened?"
(That's part of the fun!) We will have volunteers hand out fliers that explain Flash Mobs and Geocaching.
