Fast Web Installer

Introduction:

It would help you to read my index page first, so you understand what lead me to here. Or just jump to my other Android apps page.

SPECIAL Review:

Fast Web Installer by Swiss Codemonkeys, enables you to directly install apps from AppBrain on your web browser, to your phone. If you like the Market style of review, app brain info has the breakdown.

The main use for this is for searching and installing new apps. But it also does app filtering, uninstalling, links to the official site, social networking links, change logs from the developer, and comments from the Market. It shows a list of YOUR apps with percentage of paid vs. free, size in MB, and total price. It lets you control if your apps are public or private. They generate for you: Links to YOUR apps, HTML for a widget phone image (shown below), embed in websites and blogs; BBCode to post in a forum and Text to send via email. There is a one minute demo on you tube that describes how Fast Web Installer works.

Really, there are two apps at work here. Back in March 2010 Jerry Hildenbrand over at Android Central did this article on App Overload (AppBrain App Market). It shows how to install the application which lets your phone communicate with a web site. Then, on July 7th he wrote this article that describes how to get 'Fast Web Installer' to push apps to your phone.

I installed one right after the other following Jerry's instruction (Thanks) and they performed flawlessly. Some folks have had problems. Hey, it's free! Ya can't loose nuten for trying. I don't know if they had problems because they didn't install both apps, they had to old an OS (1.5), or they had a bad rooted ROM. Anyway, NOW you can now check out MY apps below, thanks to AppBrain.
